Rega Nd3 MM cartridge system with 3-hole mounting: The newly developed MM cartridge with neodymium magnet, precise generator geometry and elliptical stylus cut impresses with its high channel balance, clear high-frequency reproduction and low weight.

The all-new Rega Nd3 MM cartridge has been developed over many years and promises a significantly improved sound quality over the previous Elys-2 model. The patent pending Nd range is a world first for Rega, using extremely powerful neodymium magnets, allowing Rega to develop a completely unique TA design.

Advanced technology
Each Nd3 TA system is carefully hand-crafted by highly skilled Rega engineers. The design uses an all-new generator geometry with perfect symmetry to achieve highly precise channel balance. The Nd3 also features optimised pole spacing for excellent linearity and crosstalk. The new Nd3 cartridge is manufactured using miniaturised parallel coils wound in-house from 38 micron wire with just 1275 turns. This results in a low inductance, low impedance generator that enables significantly improved high frequency reproduction.

Nd Magnet Technology
The Nd3 is the first MM system to use a neodymium (Nd) N55 magnet, commonly used in moving coil designs (including Rega's own). It is the world's most powerful magnet commercially available and a critical component that makes this unique design possible, as it is more powerful than conventional bar magnets.

PPS Housing
The complete assembly is housed in Rega's zero-tolerance injection-moulded housing made from polyphenylene sulphide (PPS), a lightweight and high-strength material. A low-mass TA body reduces stress on the tonearm bearings and supports the free movement that is critical for accurate vinyl playback. The new look was inspired by Rega's hugely successful MC series.

Cantilever and stylus profile
The Nd3 aluminium cantilever is fitted with a precision elliptical stylus. This stylus cut offers exceptional tracking accuracies and delivers a high level of information from the vinyl surface.
